Ben N. Reiter joined Davis & Cannon, LLP in September, 2015. His practice focuses on real estate, natural resources, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, corporate law, and employment law.

Ben represents clients in both natural resource transactions and litigation in state and federal court, including representation of creditors in the bankruptcies of several of Wyoming’s largest energy producers. Ben frequently works with financial institutions, buyers, and sellers in complex commercial real estate transactions and advises them on zoning and land use regulations. Ben also assists businesses with their organizational documents, financing, intellectual property concerns, mergers and acquisitions, and employment issues.

Ben currently serves as the President of the Sheridan and Johnson County Bar Association and previously served as the Vice President for two years. He has also served as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Wyoming State Bar’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Section. Ben has given presentations to Wyoming employers on navigating federal employment regulations and is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Sheridan.

Ben graduated from UCLA School of Law, where he served as an editor for the UCLA Law Review’s online publication, was a Vice President of the Real Estate Law Association, and participated in the Skid Row Housing Clinic. Prior to joining Davis & Cannon, LLP, Ben externed for the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and worked for a large Idaho law firm. He earned his master’s degree from the University of Chicago.

Ben grew up in Riverton, Wyoming. Outside of the office, he enjoys fishing, reading, running, and enjoying the many other outdoor opportunities Wyoming has to offer.
